The Atomic Boa Skate Boot balances two nearly opposite feature in a skate boot. Super snug for performance, yet super comfortable for hours on the course. Major revisions have improved the Boa Skate for 09/10. The cuff strap is larger to reduce local hot spots; the Boa dial in the back is more durable, and larger to make use with glove easier; and the Boa cable is longer to accept low volume feet as well as larger volume feet. Note that the Boa cables do not go over the foot; they are attached to soft plate that envelope the instep. Atomic Race Carbon Skate Boot 08/09 $269.95
There are two versions of Atomic's top of the line skate boot, the RC and the WC. The RC is sort of a menacing black color; more importantly, it fits medium to higher volume feet better than the WC skate boot. Other than that, it has the two-part Pilot 2 Carbon sole combined with carbon stabilizers and cuffs. While designed to please elite racers, the light weight, support, and comfort can be appreciated by any level of skate skier. Fischer S 9000 Pilot Skate Boot $99.95
The pinnacle of skating racing performance. The Fischer S9000 Pilot is available in a Narrow Fit last, with half sizes to maximize fit and power.
