Sandals and flip flops are the favourite piece of footwear for summer time and on holiday. They are easy to slip on, light to wear, and look great with shorts and skirts and other summer wear. There are many different styles and designs to choose from when it comes to sandals and flip flops, here we look at some of those options and which type of sandal is best for certain activities.
Sport Sandals – sport sandals are not exactly for playing sport in them but they are a sturdier shoe than your average flip flop. Sport sandals are a lot like a trainer but are open so they are comfortable to wear in hot weather conditions. These types of sandals are more for walking, and so if you are going on a holiday where you know you will be doing a lot of site seeing and walking these sandals are a great option.
Thong Sandals – thong sandals are in other words flip flops and so they are open shoes with a thong that fits between your toes. These flip flops are perfect for wearing on the beach because they are the lightest type of sandal, flat soles, and they are completely open to let the sand fall out.
Rubber Sandals – these sandals are made out of rubber and have a thick wide band going across the top of the foot oppose to the thong version. These rubber sandals are great for around the pool, and so if you are going on holiday where you will be around the swimming pool rather than the beach these sandals are the perfect choice.
Fashion Sandals – these sandals are for night time wear. They are more decorative and have a more fashion design to them as they are geared towards night time / evening wear. Ladies fashion sandals have more of a heel on them and men’s have a more classy design than day time sandals.
